CHANGES SINCE PRE14

- Wallets open only Monzero wallet files. Monero and other CryptoNote
  wallet files are refused with "this wallet file was not created by
  Monzero and cannot be opened" and are not modified. Wallets from earlier
  Genesis prereleases open normally.
- Amounts are always XMZ with 11 decimal places. A wallet file could
  previously switch amount parsing to 12 decimals, so that entering 1 sent
  10 XMZ while the confirmation showed 1. The mXMZ, uXMZ, nXMZ, and
  atomic-XMZ display units are removed.
- Wallets created before their node was reachable now find their funds.
  Such wallets started scanning at a height near 14.9 million on a chain of
  about 1,000 blocks and never showed incoming XMZ; the graphical wallet,
  which creates wallets while its node is still starting, was affected on
  first run. Affected wallets repair themselves the first time they
  refresh with this release.
- The Linux package is built in the pinned build environment and depends
  only on the system C library. The pre14 Linux package required glibc
  2.38 and did not start on Ubuntu 24.04.
- stop-mining.bat and stop-monzero-miner.sh no longer report a false
  failure when mining is stopped shortly after the node starts.
- The wallet RPC rejects relay_tx when pending inputs no longer match the
  open wallet, and writes "monzero" as its generated login username.
- Consensus identity and chain rules are unchanged from pre10 through pre14.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

- A prerelease wallet that had selected the atomic-XMZ display unit cannot
  be opened; restore it from its recovery seed.
- The wallet file check cannot detect a Monero seed or private keys typed
  into Monzero's restore options. Never reuse them.
- The graphical wallet is built from GUI commit 0018a58f, the newest GUI
  commit compatible with this core. Real-money DEX trading, cross-chain
  settlement, and native asset transfer/burn are unavailable.

TEST STATUS

All 23 ctest suites passed, including the full consensus replay and the
RPC functional tests; 1,318 unit tests passed. The Linux package passed
strict package checks (except the independent-reproduction attestation),
the digest-pinned container smoke test, and node, mining, and wallet tests
on Ubuntu 24.04. The Windows command-line package passed the native
smoke, network/launcher/mining, and wallet-lifecycle tests on Windows 11.
The graphical wallet was launched on Windows 11, created and reopened
wallets, repaired a wallet affected by the height bug, and refused a
Monero wallet file.

A second, from-scratch build of the same commit in the pinned build
environment reproduced the Linux and Windows command-line packages and the
Windows graphical wallet's executables byte for byte. This is a
same-machine check; reproduction by an independent builder is still
required.

Independent binary reproduction, release signing, code signing, and an
independent security review remain outstanding. Keep the prior verified
installation available for rollback.
