Monzero DEX · atomic swap

Swap from zero trust.

Trade XMZ for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Solana or BNB straight from your own wallet. No account, no deposit, no custodian — the two blockchains enforce the trade: either both sides get paid, or both get refunded.

How swapping works

There’s no “connect your wallet to a website.” Swaps happen inside the Monzero app, and your keys never leave it — no account, no sign-up.

  1. Open the Monzero app. It’s already your XMZ wallet — nothing to connect.
  2. Choose a swap (say XMZ → Bitcoin). The XMZ side is ready; for the other coin, use the app’s built-in wallet or link your own — e.g. MetaMask for Ethereum-family coins.
  3. Confirm. The app performs the swap automatically across both chains.
  4. Done. The other coin lands in your wallet. If a trade can’t complete you’re automatically refunded — it can never run off with your coins.

Works with: your Monzero wallet — plus MetaMask, Ledger or WalletConnect for Ethereum-family coins (ETH, BNB). Receive to any address, including a Ledger.

No custody, no KYC, and no “connect wallet” button on a web page — everything happens in the app and your keys stay with you.

Your keys, your coins

Trades settle wallet-to-wallet. Monzero never takes custody and can't freeze or seize a trade.

Private by default

The XMZ side keeps Monero-style privacy. No KYC, no account, no order tied to your identity.

Open & verifiable

The swap contracts and engine are open source. Read the code, run the test kit, break it: security.

Common questions

How do I connect a wallet?

You don’t connect to a website. Swapping is built into the Monzero app — your XMZ wallet is already there, and for the other coin you use the app’s built-in wallet or link your own (e.g. MetaMask). Your keys never leave your device.

Can I use a Ledger or MetaMask?

For Ethereum-family coins (ETH, BNB) you can sign with MetaMask, Ledger or WalletConnect. On any coin you can receive the result straight to a Ledger address. On Bitcoin/Litecoin/XMZ a small in-app wallet does the live signing — hardware wallets can’t make the special swap signatures — so you keep the bulk cold on your Ledger.

What does it cost?

0.1%–0.5% on Bitcoin (smaller trades a little more), free on Litecoin, plus the normal on-chain network fee each chain charges. EVM pair pricing is announced per chain.

Can Monzero take or freeze my coins?

No — it’s non-custodial. No company ever holds your funds and there’s no account. Trades are atomic: either both sides get paid, or both get refunded. There is no third outcome where someone keeps everything.

Which coins can I swap?

XMZ to Bitcoin, Litecoin, BNB, Ethereum, and Solana — with more chains over time. Monero via a Bitcoin route is planned.

What if a swap is interrupted?

Reopen the app and it resumes, or refunds you automatically within the timelock. See the recovery guide — you can even recover without our app if you keep the swap data.
